SPND 456 Tri Final Project

This is a brief recap with document link, basically a SETT framework,  about a writing group project that I am currently helping the OT with. The occupational therapist had a great idea to use some of her time to form a writing group, as this is something that a small group of boys needs to work on.

She wanted to use tech to help the boys write, but came up against many obstacles. Working together, we are now making progress and seeing smiles of success from the students at the end of the period.

Assignment 4

Read Writing to Read: Evidence for How Writing Can Improve Reading__
by Graham and Hebert and Writing Next: Effective Strategies to Improve Writing
 of Adolescents in Middle and High Schools__ by Graham and Perin.
 Make connections between the identified strategies which support the 
development of reading and writing skills and the use of educational or 
assistive technologies. Which tools or strategies promote independence 
with reading and writing tasks according to reading research? Consider 
what you have learned from the Simulation activities, Neuroscience 
and Learning activities, free resources, apps and software and identify 
at least five strategies which connect with the research.
